D365FO: Optimisation of the end of year process

The end of year process can be completed using a non-D365FO micro service.
The purpose of the micro service is to improve performance of the end of year process by:

Reducing the load on D365FO in connection with the end of year process.
Improving transparency in the process.
Making the status of the process for each company visible to users in real time, so they don’t have to navigate batch job history.
